What is “Deep Dive” Massage Therapy?

This is our signature Athlete’s Sports Massage. It is a focused, deep-tissue session designed specifically for recovery and performance, popular among our local tennis players and golfers.

What is the “Magnesium Melt” treatment?

This is one of our premium offerings. We incorporate high-quality magnesium lotion into the session to help ease muscle tension, improve sleep, and promote deep cellular relaxation.

Will the cupping leave marks on my skin?

For our Signature Glow Cupping, we use silicone sliding cups that provide a “reverse massage” effect without leaving marks. However, for our Clinical Neuromuscular Cupping, you may receive “Badge of Honor” marks, which indicate areas of stagnant blood flow being released. All cupping is optional and will be discussed at your appointment.

What does “Reverse Massage” mean?

Instead of applying downward pressure like a traditional massage, sliding cups draws the tissues up into the cup. This allows fresh blood (nutrients) to circulate under tight adhesions and helps pull out toxins.

What is the Omni 360 system?

We utilize the Omni 360 ergonomic positioning system, including a swiveling face cradle. This ensures that you are perfectly comfortable and your spine is properly aligned throughout your entire treatment.

Do you offer Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)?

Yes. I am Vodder-certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage. This is a specialized, gentle technique used to reduce swelling and improve the efficiency of the lymphatic system.

Does Deep Tissue Massage actually provide lasting relief for Neck Pain?

While traditional deep tissue massage offers temporary comfort, lasting relief for chronic neck pain requires a more targeted, clinical approach. At Deep Blue Massage Therapy, we specialize in sliding cross-fiber cupping to address the root cause of tension.  They do not leave marks, but release tight, compressed fascia to free the muscle and allow for a deeper release. This “reverse massage” effect feels amazing by lifting the tissue to increase circulation and break up stubborn adhesions around the neck and cervical spine. By focusing on neuromuscular release rather than surface-level relaxation, we help our clients achieve long-term mobility and a significant reduction in reoccurring pain.

How long does Deep Tissue Massage relief last?

The duration of relief depends on the severity of your tension and your daily activity level, such as hours at a desk or time spent on the golf course. By effectively “unsticking” the fascia and clearing out the toxins, many clients experience improved range-of-motion and reduced stiffness for several weeks. Our specialized clinical approach is designed to provide more sustained results than a typical spa massage. We also have a Monthly Massage Club that is designed to keep you on track and keep tension away.

Can Deep Tissue Massage fix chronic Neck & Shoulder Pain?

Chronic neck and shoulder pain is often the result of repetitive strain and “frozen” tissue.  We focus specifically on scapula release and upper body decompression to address these persistent issues.

Our unique Omni 360 face cradle allows us to access the muscles of the shoulder and rotator cuff more effectively than traditional flat-table positioning. By combining this with sliding cups that do not leave marks, we can “fix” postural imbalances and release the deep-seated knots that cause persistent discomfort. Our goal is not just a temporary fix, its a comprehensive Deep Dive into your muscular health to restore effortless, pain-free movement.

Is massage therapy effective for recovery after Shoulder Replacement or Rotator Cuff Surgery?

Yes, specialized clinical massage is a vital component of post-surgical rehabilitation for the shoulder. Our approach at Deep Blue Massage Therapy focuses on reducing the scar tissue and tight adhesions that often follow a rotator cuff repair or shoulder replacement.

We utilize Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Vodder Technique- to significantly reduce post-operative swelling and inflammation. Once you have cleared the initial healing phase, we incorporate scapula release with range-of-motion techniques to ensure your scar tissue is lying properly and your shoulder heals correctly.

Will your Neck and Shoulder massage help with Migraines?

Absolutely. Many migraines and chronic headaches are triggered or intensified by extreme neck and shoulder tension. Our targeted treatments focus on the primary culprits: the upper trapezius, levator scapulae and the suboccipital muscles at the base of the skull.

Using a combination of longitudinal and cross-fiber cupping techniques, we release the deep “knots” and restrictions that limit blood flow to the head.  This targeted neck and shoulder release helps decompress the nerves often responsible for migraine triggers. By focusing on Deep Tissue Massage techniques, we aim to provide lasting relief from the pressue and intensity of chronic headaches.

Can you help with Frozen Shoulder?

Yes, scapula release and shoulder mobility are our primary niches. We use a combination of Neuromuscular cupping and longitudinal/cross-fiber techniques to help restore range of motion. We recommend a series of 4-8 sessions that are paired with daily PT stretching/strengthening exercises to accurately release the Subscapularis muscle along with the Rotator Cuff and arms.

I am a golfer/tennis player- which massage is best for me?

We recommend the Deep Dive (Athlete’s Sports Massage). We specialize in releasing the specific neck, shoulder, and scapula tension that comes with repetitive swinging motions.

Can I buy the products you use during my session?

Yes! For your convenience, we have a Preferred Products section on our website where you can find the items we use and recommend for at-home care.
